After that, however, when you gain enough experience to advance one level, you leave him as a level four character, thus delaying the level-up, saving it until you get off of Taris and become a Jedi, when you can pile all of those saved levels into your new Jedi class. Since consulars are much more in tune with the Force than are the other classes, their Force powers are generally considered to be much stronger and more difficult to resist. Note that the use of a 'balanced' weapon in your off-hand slot can reduce the attack penalty of your main-hand weapon, so be on the lookout for balanced swords and pistols during your travels. This isn't a problem for most players, since you do retain all of the vitality, feats, and skills that you've gained with the standard class that you began the game with.
